Lydia Hauenschild

Lydia Hauenschild was born in 1957 in the Bavarian Forest and grew up on her parents’ farm. She studied agricultural sciences at the University of Göttingen and worked as an agricultural engineer. She began writing after the birth of her twins in 1985, when she found that no guide for expectant parents of twins was available and decided to write one herself. She subsequently authored books for children and young people, including nonfiction and stories for preschool and primary-school readers.
