Linda Hentschel

Linda Hentschel is a German scholar of art and cultural studies. She studied art history, cultural studies, and Romance studies in Marburg and Montpellier. Her research focuses include the history of optical media and visual perception, photography and film theory, media and violence, and gender studies in the cultural sciences. She has held positions at, among others, the Berlin University of the Arts, the Braunschweig University of Art, and Humboldt University of Berlin. In 2015, she was appointed professor of art-related theory at the Mainz School of Art of Johannes Gutenberg University.
