Lina Gustafsson studied veterinary medicine. After working for several years at a veterinary clinic, where she mainly treated dogs and cats, she joined the Swedish Food Agency. In October 2017, she began working there as a veterinarian at a slaughterhouse. Her professional focus thus increasingly turned to animals exposed to severe suffering and lacking advocates.
