Lily King

Lily King, born in 1963, grew up in Massachusetts. Her novels include The Pleasing Hour, The English Teacher, Father of the Rain, Euphoria, and Writers & Lovers; she also published the story collection Hotel Seattle. Her work received, among other honors, the New England Book Award for Fiction, the Whiting Writers’ Award, and the Maine Fiction Award. Euphoria won the Kirkus Prize and was named one of The New York Times’ five best literary books of 2014.
