Leslie Malton

Leslie Malton, born in 1958 in Washington, D.C., began her acting career in the theater. From 1985 onward, she was a member of the ensemble of Vienna’s Burgtheater for several years, appearing among other roles as Ophelia in William Shakespeare’s »Hamlet« alongside Klaus Maria Brandauer. She later performed in several productions directed by George Tabori. She became known to a wider television audience in 1992 as Gudrun Lange in the ZDF miniseries »Der große Bellheim«, a role that earned her the Bavarian Film Award. She also appeared in numerous film and television productions and worked as an audiobook narrator, including on Tad Williams’s »Otherland« and Heimito von Doderer’s »The Strudlhof Steps«.
