Leo Hoffmann, born in Upper Franconia in 1964, is a German author. Her work included short stories, occasional crime stories, plays for children and adults, museum guides, contributions for Bayerischer Rundfunk, and a libretto. Her works include the play »Oh, what a Lovely Afternoon!«, which premiered at Munich’s Akademietheater in 2004, and the libretto »Die Marquise von O.«, premiered at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo in 2011. She also wrote children’s books. According to her own account, she wrote her first story because she quickly found her primary school’s colorful early-reader booklets boring.
