Laurent Seksik, born in Nice in 1962, is a French writer and physician. He studied medicine and initially worked in nuclear medicine before making his literary debut in 1999 with the novel “Les mauvaises pensées,” which was translated into twelve languages. Seksik also served as literary editor of “Figaro Étudiant” and co-wrote the screenplay for the multi-award-winning documentary drama “Charlie Chaplin, la légende du siècle.” His 2011 novel “Vorgefühl der nahen Nacht” marked his breakthrough in France.
