Lara Marlowe

Lara Marlowe was born in California and studied French at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and the Sorbonne, as well as international relations at Oxford. She began her journalism career as an associate producer for the CBS program 60 Minutes. She later reported from Beirut for the Financial Times and TIME magazine on the Arab world. In 1996, she became the Paris correspondent for the Irish Times. In 2006, she was appointed a Knight of France’s Legion of Honour for her contribution to French-Irish relations.
