Lane Smith

Lane Smith, born in 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is an American author and illustrator of children’s and picture books. He studied at the Art Center College of Design and subsequently moved to New York. His notable works include “John, Paul, George & Ben” (2006) and “Madam President” (2008). He also illustrated Roald Dahl’s “James and the Giant Peach” and worked as a concept designer on Disney’s 1996 film adaptation of the book.
