Kodo Nishimura

Kodo Nishimura (born 1989) is a Japanese Buddhist monk and makeup artist. The son of a monk, he grew up in a temple and studied at Dean College in the United States after high school. During his studies, he developed an interest in fashion and makeup. He was ordained as a Buddhist monk in 2015. As a makeup artist, he has worked with international models for fashion shows and taught makeup courses for transgender women. He has also been involved in LGBTQ activism.
