Klaus Eberl

Klaus Eberl, born in 1955, served as a pastor in Wassenberg from 1984 to 2007 and as superintendent of the Jülich church district from 1994 to 2007. In 2007, he was elected a senior church councillor of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland, where he was responsible for education. From 2005 onward, he also served as vice-president of the EKD Synod. In Pskov, he founded a centre for special education and has been an honorary citizen of the Russian city since 2001.
