Ken Liu

Ken Liu, born in 1976 in Lanzhou, China, is an American author of speculative fiction, translator, and editor. He writes novels and short stories and is known, among other works, for the Dandelion Dynasty series and the Star Wars novel The Legends of Luke Skywalker. His translation of Cixin Liu’s The Three-Body Problem received the Hugo Award in 2015. Before becoming a writer, Liu worked as a software engineer, corporate lawyer, and litigation consultant. His short story “Good Hunting” was adapted as an episode of the Netflix series Love, Death + Robots.
