Kathy Willis

Katherine (Kathy) J. Willis is a biologist who was Professor of Biodiversity at the University of Oxford and Principal of St Edmund Hall. She previously served as Scientific Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and as a member of the UK government’s Natural Capital Committee. Willis has published numerous scientific papers and is the author or co-author of a foundational book on plant evolution. In 2015, she received the Royal Society’s Michael Faraday Medal for communicating science.
