Katerina Silwanowa

Katerina Silwanova was born in 1992 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. After completing her studies, she moved to Novgorod and began writing in her spare time. In 2016, she met Elena Malisova, and the two co-authored the novel *Du und ich und der Sommer*, about the first love between two young men in a Soviet summer camp. The novel was classified as “LGBTQ propaganda” and banned in Russia. Silvanova and Malisova subsequently left the country.
