Karin Smirnoff

Karin Smirnoff (born in 1964 in Umeå) is a Swedish author. Before her literary career, she worked as a journalist, photographer, care worker for the elderly and karate instructor. Her debut novel, “My Brother” (2021), the first book in the Jana Kippo series, was nominated for Sweden’s August Prize and sold in ten countries. Her other novels include “Wunderkind” (2023).
