Julia Wolf

Julia Wolf (born 1980) is a writer and translator. She studied North American Studies, Latin American Studies and Modern German Literature at Freie Universität Berlin. Her novels include Alles ist jetzt (2015), Walter Nowak bleibt liegen (2017) and Alte Mädchen (2022). Walter Nowak bleibt liegen received the 3sat Prize and the Nicolas Born Debut Prize and was nominated for the German Book Prize; Alte Mädchen was awarded the Robert Gernhardt Prize. As a translator, she has translated works by, among others, Joy Williams and Samantha Harvey. Her translation of Harvey’s Umlaufbahnen was nominated for the 2025 Leipzig Book Fair Prize.
