Julia K. Stein

Julia K. Stein grew up in Germany’s Ruhr region and studied in Bonn, Berkeley, and on the American East Coast. She earned a master’s degree in philosophy and later completed a doctorate in literature in Germany. Her work includes novels for adults and young readers as well as poetry. Her novel “From Tokyo with Love” was inspired by her first visit to Japan. Stein has also worked as a lecturer.
