Judith Zander

Judith Zander, born in Anklam in 1980, studied German, English and modern and contemporary history at the University of Greifswald, followed by poetry and prose at the German Literature Institute Leipzig. She has worked as a writer and translator. Her debut novel, *Dinge, die wir heute sagten*, received the 3sat Prize at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in 2010 and the Uwe Johnson Advancement Award in 2011; it was also shortlisted for the German Book Prize. Her other distinctions include the Fontane Literature Prize in 2021 and the Peter Huchel Prize in 2023.
