Judith Poppe

Judith Poppe, born in 1979, is a German journalist and author specializing in the Middle East. She studied literature and cultural anthropology in Göttingen and earned a doctorate on Israeli literature. Her research and professional work took her to the United States, Israel, and the West Bank. From 2019 to 2023, she reported from Tel Aviv and the Palestinian territories as a correspondent for the German daily taz. She also worked as a foreign affairs editor focusing on human rights and social movements. Her writing has appeared in newspapers, magazines, and edited collections.
