Jorge L Borges

Jorge Luis Borges (1899–1986) was an Argentine writer and librarian. He wrote primarily fantastic stories, poetry, and essays and is regarded as a founder of Latin American fantastic literature and magical realism. Borges was a central contributor to the journal Sur, which was dedicated to cultural exchange between Latin America and Europe. He had a lifelong friendship with the Argentine writer Adolfo Bioy Casares.
