Jordan B. Peterson (born 1962) is a Canadian clinical psychologist, author, and academic. From 1993 to 1997, he taught and conducted research at Harvard University; he subsequently worked at the University of Toronto, where he became professor emeritus of psychology. His research focused on the psychology of religious and ideological beliefs as well as human behavior. Peterson gained international attention in part through online lectures that went viral in 2016. His bestseller “12 Rules for Life” has been translated into numerous languages.
