Joonas Sildre

Joonas Sildre (born 1980) is an Estonian comics artist, illustrator and graphic designer. He studied graphic design at the Estonian Academy of Arts and worked as a freelance artist. Sildre illustrated nearly 30 children’s books and wrote several graphic novels, including Between the Notes, described as the first graphic novel in the Estonian language. He also taught at art colleges, edited anthologies and organized comics festivals. In 2013, he co-founded the Estonian Comics Society.
