Johnny Cash

Johnny Cash (1932–2003) was an American country musician, singer, and songwriter. He is regarded as one of the most influential artists in country music and wrote numerous songs throughout his career. His concerts at Folsom Prison and San Quentin State Prison in the late 1960s became particularly renowned. The albums in the “American Recordings” series brought him further international recognition late in his career. Cash was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Country Music Hall of Fame; he also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
