Johannes Schilling

Johannes Schilling (born 1951) is a theologian and church historian. He studied musicology, German studies, medieval Latin philology and Protestant theology at the universities of Göttingen, Zurich, Vienna and Munich. From 1993 to 2016, he was Professor of Church History at Kiel University, where he also served as pro-rector from 1999 to 2002. In 2017, he received an honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Theology at the University of Copenhagen.
