Jochen Stremmel

Jochen Stremmel, born in 1948, earned his doctorate in 1982 with a dissertation on Karl Kraus. He then worked for ten years as a lecturer in modern German literary studies at the University of Cologne. In 1990, he became a freelance editor and translator from English. Among the authors he translated are Elmore Leonard, Charles Willeford, Ross Thomas, Stephen King, and Scarlett Thomas.
