Jochen Hellbeck

Jochen Hellbeck, born in Bonn in 1966, studied history and Slavic studies in Berlin, Leningrad, Bloomington, and New York. He taught history at Rutgers University in the United States. His publications include “Tagebuch aus Moskau 1931–1939” (1996), “Autobiographische Praktiken in Russland” (2004), and “Revolution on My Mind: Writing a Diary under Stalin” (2006).
