Jobst Schlennstedt was born in Herford, Germany, in 1976 and studied geography at the University of Bayreuth. He worked in consulting for the port and logistics industry. In 2006, he wrote his first crime novel. His publications include coastal and Westphalian crime novels, a thriller, and contributions to crime anthologies. His novels have been published, among others, by Emons Verlag and are often set in Lübeck, along the Baltic coast, and in East Westphalia.
