Jessica Mitford

Jessica Mitford (1917–1996) came from an eccentric English aristocratic family and was one of six daughters. In the 1930s, she became known as a communist sympathizer. Together with her cousin Esmond Romilly, a nephew of Winston Churchill, she fled to Spain during the Spanish Civil War.
