Jens Ruppenthal

Jens Ruppenthal is a historian. His professional positions include work at the German Maritime Museum in Bremerhaven and the University of Bremen. As a research coordinator in the “Shipping and Environment” exhibition area, he worked on the environmental history of shipping and the seas in the late modern period. His further research interests include cultures of remembrance and European colonial history. He has also worked on environmental and cultural-historical questions related to the sea.
