James A. Robinson (born 1960) is a political and economic scientist. He worked as a professor at Harvard University and carried out work in Botswana, Mauritius, Sierra Leone, and South Africa. In 2024, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences jointly with Daron Acemoglu and Simon Johnson.
