Jacques Lacan

Jacques Lacan (1901–1981) was a French psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. He gained international recognition through his reinterpretation of Sigmund Freud’s writings. His work drew, among other approaches, on structuralism and linguistics, and later also used graphical models from topology and set theory.
