Jackie Morris, born in Birmingham in 1961, is an author and illustrator. She studied at Hereford College of Arts and Bath Academy. Morris has illustrated numerous books and has also written several herself. Her illustrations for The Lost Words, created in collaboration with Robert Macfarlane, received multiple awards; in 2019, the book won the Kate Greenaway Medal. It was also named Book of the Year by British booksellers.
