J. Richard Gott

J. Richard Gott is a theoretical physicist and astrophysicist known for contributions to cosmology and general relativity. He developed the theory that the large-scale distribution of galaxies in the universe resembles a sponge-like structure; this structure was later confirmed. Gott received the Astronomical League Award.
