I. V. Marie grew up in Miami and has Peruvian and Chilean family roots. She studied communication studies at Loyola Marymount University. She began writing on her grandparents’ computer and invented ghost and fantasy stories as a child. Her debut novel, “Immortal Consequences,” reached the New York Times bestseller list.
