Isabel Schayani

Isabel Schayani is a German television and online journalist. She worked for the public broadcaster WDR, presented the ARD programme Weltspiegel from Cologne, and founded the online programme “WDRforyou” for people who are new to Germany. A central focus of her journalism was migration to Germany and Europe. Her reports and features received several awards, including the Grimme Award, the Hanns Joachim Friedrichs Special Award and the German Social Award. In 2020, she was named Political Journalist of the Year.
