Ines Weizman

Ines Weizman was born in Leipzig, Germany, and is an architectural theorist and researcher. Her academic positions have included the Royal College of Art in London and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, where she taught architectural theory and design. She is the founding director of the Centre for Documentary Architecture, an interdisciplinary research collective. Her publications include “Dust&Data: Traces of the Bauhaus across 100 Years” (2019) and “Documentary Architecture / Dissidence through Architecture” (2020). In 2023, she commissioned the work of the Lithuanian Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale and presented the installation “Of All the Gin Joints in All the Towns in All the World …,” on Joséphine Baker and modern architecture in the colonized Arab world.
