Ina May Gaskin (born 1940) is an American midwife regarded as a pioneer of natural childbirth. In recognition of her contribution to midwifery, she received the Right Livelihood Award, often called the Alternative Nobel Prize, in 2011. In 2013, she was inducted into the Women’s Hall of Fame.
