Ilse Grubrich-Simitis

Ilse Grubrich-Simitis (1936–2024) was a psychoanalyst, author, and Freud scholar. At S. Fischer Verlag, she was responsible for editing the works of Sigmund Freud. Her publications on Freud research and on the theory and clinical practice of psychoanalysis included Back to Freud’s Texts (1993); several of her works were translated into other languages. In 1998, she received the Sigmund Freud Prize for Scholarly Prose from the German Academy for Language and Literature and the Mary S. Sigourney Award.
