Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall is a British food journalist, television chef and advocate of seasonal, ethically produced food. He became known through his television series and the River Cottage books that grew out of them. The River Cottage project combined a restaurant with a cookery school and vegetable garden. Fearnley-Whittingstall’s books have received several awards, including the André Simon Food Book of the Year.
