Hiroko Yoda

Hiroko Yoda is a cultural historian specializing in the Shinto religion. She grew up in Japan, earned a master’s degree from American University in Washington, D.C., and worked as a Tokyo editor for CNN Go and as a producer for National Geographic TV. She later founded AltJapan, a company that connects Japanese content with publishers, production companies, and game developers. Her articles have appeared in the New York Times, The New Yorker, WIRED, and VICE.
