Hiltrud Baier

Hiltrud Baier grew up in southern Germany, trained as a bookseller, and studied German and education. She worked for many years in German publishing houses. Her publications include nonfiction books about Sweden, children’s books, and family novels. Under the pseudonym Klara Nordin, she also published two crime novels set in Lapland. Her adult novels include *Helle Tage, helle Nächte*, *Tage mit Ida*, *Tangosommer*, and *Die Farben des Winters*. Baier moved to Sweden in 2001.
