Hilde Fieguth

Hilde Fieguth, born in 1944 in Schwabach near Nuremberg, studied German and art history in Munich, Berlin, and Constance. She worked as a translator from French, translating works by, among others, Corinna Bille, Nicolas Bouvier, Nicolas Verdan, Mahi Binebine, and Kaouther Adimi. For her translation of The Herbalist, she explored on foot the area in Val d’Hérens in the Swiss canton of Valais described in the novel.
