Author · 11 books

H. G. Wells (1866–1946) was a British writer and scientist. Born in Bromley near London, he studied natural sciences and co-founded the Royal College of Science Association. After a pulmonary haemorrhage forced him to undertake mainly sedentary work, he increasingly devoted himself to writing scientific and fictional works. His depictions of time travel and invasions from outer space helped shape the development of science fiction. Wells died in London in 1946.
