Henry Winter

Henry Winter was born in Leipzig in 1958. He studied process engineering at the Carl Schorlemmer University of Technology in Leuna-Merseburg, where he earned a doctorate on catalyst efficiencies in hydrogenation reactions. He subsequently worked as a research assistant, research engineer, lecturer, and managing director of a wastewater association. From 2006 to 2022, he worked as a process safety engineer, first at a chemical plant engineering firm and later at an oil refinery. Winter is the principal author of the textbook “Prozessleittechnik in Chemieanlagen” (Process Control Engineering in Chemical Plants), contributing 90 percent of its sixth edition.
