Henning Ritter (1943–2013) was a German journalist, writer, and translator. From 1985 to 2008, he headed the humanities section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. In 2011, he received the Leipzig Book Fair Prize in the nonfiction/essay category for his book Notizhefte. His other publications include Verehrte Denker and Die Schreie der Verwundeten, both published in 2013.
