Helmut Krauss

Helmut Krauss (1941–2019) was a German theater and television actor, cabaret performer, and voice actor. He first appeared on stage at the age of 16 and moved to Berlin at 20, where he initially worked as a radio announcer. Krauss performed in the cabaret program »Das Bügelbrett« and in Dieter Hildebrandt’s »Scheibenwischer«, and appeared at theaters including Berlin’s Grips-Theater and Hansa-Theater as well as the State Theatre in Hanover. He became widely known for playing the neighbor Paschulke in the ZDF television series »Löwenzahn«, a role he portrayed for about 30 years. As a voice actor, he dubbed stars including Marlon Brando, John Goodman, Anthony Quinn, Jean Reno, and Samuel L. Jackson. He died in Goslar in 2019.
