Heiko Schulze

Heiko Schulze was born in Osnabrück in 1954 and grew up there. He trained as a secondary-school teacher of history and art. After completing his examinations, he worked in adult education, for the Osnabrück Chamber of Skilled Crafts, in the Gelsenkirchen SPD parliamentary group and in the office of the city’s mayor. Until 2013, he served as managing director of the Osnabrück SPD parliamentary group. Schulze has published works on the history of the labour movement, local government and historical and general political topics. He has also written books on urban history, historical novels and short stories.
