Harald Meller, born in 1960 in Olching, is an archaeologist. His roles have included State Archaeologist of Saxony-Anhalt and director of the State Museum of Prehistory in Halle. He became widely known for his significant involvement in the recovery and study of the Nebra Sky Disc. He also led excavations and research on the Shaman of Bad Dürrenberg and curated international exhibitions on the archaeology of warfare. Together with Kai Michel, he wrote »Die Himmelsscheibe von Nebra«, »Griff nach den Sternen« and »Das Rätsel der Schamanin«.
