Hans Bunge

Hans Bunge (1919–1990) was a German dramaturg, director, and editor. He worked as a dramaturgy and directing assistant at the Berliner Ensemble and, after Bertolt Brecht’s death, headed the Bertolt Brecht Archive. He also worked as an editor at the Academy of Arts. From 1968 onward, Bunge served as a dramaturg and director at various theaters, including venues in Rostock and the Deutsches Theater Berlin. His publications include Brecht’s Lai-tu (1985).
