Hanna Veiler was born in Belarus in 1998. She is an activist, political educator, and writer. In 2025, she became president of the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS), having served as its vice president since 2023. She previously served as vice president and president of the German Union of Jewish Students (JSUD). In 2019, she helped found the Jewish Students’ Union of Württemberg, which she led for two years. Her contributions on Jewish life, remembrance culture, and antisemitism have appeared in publications including Zeit Online, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Die tageszeitung, and the Jüdische Allgemeine. In 2024, she received the awards “Woman of Europe” and “Ambassador for Democracy and Tolerance”; Capital magazine also included her in its “Top 40 Under 40” list.
